Via: It is an electroplated hole that electrically connects different layers of a multi-layer printed circuit board. A blind via creates an electrical connection between one external layer and one or more internal layers. On the other hand, a buried via creates an electrical connection between one or more inner layers of a PCB. The performance and reliability of a PCB is greatly determined by the quality of the vias used.
